The Head will be supporting Broken Faith this SATURDAY (That is Two Days away!) at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton, sorry that there is not more heads up but we were only offered the slot Yesterday (Lack of Internet Access has slowed this announcement down!) so if anyone wants to come and support us then do please come and ROCK with us! If you can't make Saturday we're playing the WHARF tomorrow in Walsall so two choices of Gig! 14/03/09 - Little Civic, D-tox NEW DATE!!!! Hey folks, just a quick update! Our gig with D-TOX at the Little Civic has been moved not only to a New Date but a New Venue! We're now playing with D-TOX on the 10th of April, in the Civic Bar. Now we are awaiting Confimation about all this so if there are any changes we'll let you know so please check the site nearer the time just in case of any other adjustments! Cheers, The Head 02/02/09 - Severed Snow-Angels! Got some Severed News ladies and gents! We have two gigs coming up in March, that's right! Two of 'em! The first is at the Wharf Bar in Walsall (Where we had our Awesome X-mas Bash... Same the snow was two months late!!) on the 6th of March as part of a 'Johnny Doom Presents' night which will be a blast. We're going for a Chunky-Balls-To-The-Wall set for that night. All your Heavy-Head faves there! Our other gig is at the Little Civic in Wolverhampton (Where we did Battle of the Bands!) on the 21st of March in support of D-tox. Will be a great night and for that night we're doing a lighter set, with a Strong Possibility of one... maybe even two NEW songs! We have tickets for the Little Civic gig so if you want to come down let us know and we'll get a ticket to ya! Not sure about how the Wharf are doing the night yet alas but once we know we'll let you guys know! Two nights, Two sets, All Good!! 22/01/09 - If At First You Don't Succeed... Ladies and Gentledudes, we fought hard, we rocked harder but alas even though we were the only band to finish there set on time we failed to make it through to the Second Round of the Civics Battle of the Bands... We are obviously happy for The Winners (An Indie band with a Manager and a large fanbase), because we are nice peeps here in the Head. But the thing is, we want more... Which is where we need your help. That's right, you can make a difference! Over on the Battle of the Bands Website you can sign up and VOTE for the Bands. Now we really would love to show these little Indie kids what REAL Music is about! So if you could vote for us we may get through as a Wild Card and Metal the CRAP out the Judges! (We think that we were a little to Chunky for them Mwhahahaahah!). So if you would like to see us get Further then do please Vote for us! 13/01/09 - Busy Busy! So the last Eleven (11) days of 2008 (Well, ten days of '08 and one day of '09) were rather busy! We had our Xmas Bash, and our New Year Party! Naturally we got snap-happy and took many pictures AND Videos as well! So without further ado, we have 170+ New Photos from both our Xmas Bash, and from our Band New Year Party. On top of that we have a total of 28 Minutes and 22 seconds of Videos over on our Myspace page! We're currently preparing for the Battle of the Bands at the Little Civic on the 21st of this very January so if you want to come down and support us Please Do! 01/01/09 - Just Wishing You All... 24/12/08 - Merry X-masness! We'd like to just say, from Laura, Pete, Dene and Darren have yourselfs a very safe and Merry Christmas time! And of course a HUGE Thank you to Everyone who came out the the X-mas bash, was an absolutely Brilliant Night. We had a LOT of fun and we hope you all had a LOT of fun too! We'll be back in the new year Kicking Gum and Chewing Ass in 2009! First off is Battle of the Bands on the 21st of January! Hope to see some of you there! See you all Next Year! 14/12/08 - Severed Head Are Coming, Too Town! That's right ladies and gents! Lock up your Monkeys for Severed Head are having there X-mas Bash in Walsall! At the Wharf Bar to be a little more Specific! Will be on the 21st of this very Month of December, going to be a Fun Fun night, we're in Control of the Place so we have a Severed DJ (or Dene-J as it should be) from 7 (Maybe before!) and then the Band on at 8 until we're done! (Somewhere between 9 and 9.30 we're guessing, depends how much SILLY goes on!) If you cannot make it then No Worrys, have a very Safe Christmas! Hopefully see ya'll in SEVEN DAYS!! (I know it's odd that the gig is a Sunday but it does mean we can do Whatever we Want... oh and its FREE ENTRY too!) 11/11/08 - Eleven 11 Day. Today marks the 90th Anniversary of the End of the First World War. The sacrifices that so many millions of people made, so many who laid down there lives will not be forgotten. Moving slightly off that Somber note, as today is Eleven 11 figured would say hi, remind you all that we're playing the Wharf Bar in Walsall on the 29th of November and also that we have a Flier which you can view in our Forums! So if anyone wants to print a few off and hand them around, or stick them places (Where the Sun Shines please, we don't like law-suits!) then we will be Eternally in your debt! Have a safe day all, and never forget the Sacrifices made for our Freedom. The Head. 12/10/08 - Unplugged Head. Last night we did our first ever Unplugged Set! (I guess you could say the Electric Stuff was Severed! Ha-Ha!!) Was pretty fun and we'll hopefully be doing one again next year only it'll be very Special! Our next gig is at the Wharf Bar in Walsall (You can now see our Upcoming Gigs in that pretty little box on the Top Right!), that will be a REALLY Huge gig for us. Some brand New Material going to be Premiered, seriously tis a gig NOT to be missed! Also we now have over 100 brand new Live Photos online now in our Live Photos Section! 30/09/08 - Normal Service Resumed! Two new gigs lined up. First being the 11th of October at the Wolverhampton Varsity, the second being the 29th of November at the Wharf Bar in Walsall! Oh and we are trying to get the new Photos etc up, however Mr. Webmaster had a slight computer malfuncion (PSU Explosion!) and is only now back up and running! So soon, but cannot give an ETA at the moment! Thanks for you Patience folks! 14/09/08 - Normal Service will Resume Shortly! Another gig done and done. We're going to take a small break to finish writing the new Songs before we get back to gigging it up! So we won't have broke up, or can't be bothered to play, we're just going to finish some new Songs to Rock with! Also hopefully within the next week or two the Photos from the last two gigs will be up along with a little Video interview thing from last night! (Backstage Boredom for the win!) 31/08/08 - 13. 13th of Septemeber we'll be playing the Wolves Varsity once more, £4 in and we're on early (For a change), doors open at 8pm and we should be on sometime before 9.30pm we thinks! Also Mr. Dene has been with the band for over a year now! Man how time flies! Also, don't forget that if you go to our Shiney Shiney Forums, Register and (or if you are already Registered) Post a single comment to ANYTHING on the Forum (or start your own jobbie!) and you'll get access to a Special Part of the Forums filled with... STUFF! That's Right... STUFF!! We'll have some new Photos up soon and some more Video things so keep your eyes peeled! (Although that would hurt a lot so maybe you should not peel your eyes) 14/08/08 - Mmm, Shiney! It has taken 2 hours of Hardcore work (and half a pack of Cookies) but the Forums are now SHINEY and nice! No longer are we on the ol' phpBB2, Oh no we are on the Cutting Edge of Technological Sexy with phpBB3! Oh yeah! So what does this mean in a non-geeky way? Well my friends it means that in addition to everything being a lot cleaner and (hopefully) faster we also have a lot more control (Sub-forums!!). So now each band member have there own little Forum where they can post there own thoughts, feelings, ideas, polls and anything else that pops into there brains! As a Celebration of this Sexyness until the Next Gig (Which is Currently not announced) anyone who Registers and Posts (or if you are Already a member just Post!) at least ONCE before the next time we play Live on Stage you'll get access to a special and Hidden part of the Forums which will contain silly things. And Videos. And Pictures. And Maybe even the occasional song! So come on, go and post somewhere, you know you want to see that really silly Eyes O- Opps! 10/08/08 - Stein Goes Dark! So last nights Set went down pretty well, although we did have to contend with a *ahem* "Stage" that was sloping downwards and a slight Power Outage during The Journey which set us back a while! But we got through it all and even managed to sell some CDs! Speaking of which we have (at time of writing) 8 of our Eyes of the Soul EPs left from this First Ever Run! If you would like one get in touch with us (Through the Forums or email us!), they are £2+pnp (That's Postage and Packing, not Pen and Paper for the Roleplayers!). As always let us know what you thought in the Forums, and we're hoping to do a gig (or maybe a few!) soon so keep checking here and the Myspace! 26/07/08 -Stein Goes Rock ...and we will be there, oh yes thats right! 15/07/2008 - Severed Space. Took a little longer than planned but over on the Videos section of the Severed Myspace we have a 9 minute and 58 second Medley... Thing! Taken from the Video shot at the Varsity last month it includes little sections of all the tracks we played that night (Our thanks to Mark Haddon who did the filming for the Video!). Feel free to let us know what you think by commenting on Myspace OR even better, our Forums which within the next week will be getting a Monster Update! 01/07/2008 - Mmm, Eyecandy! Proof, as they say is in the Pudding. Well alas we don't have any pudding right now but we do have a bunch of Live Photos! Thanks too Roland Bird and also too the ever Wonderful Tracey Woolley for Snapping some Awesome Photos! 29/06/2008 - One Down... Right thats! The first ever Severed Head gig has been completed! Even though there were a few Issues (For example Darrens Rig deciding not to work correctly and the Monitors being pretty much useless) Don't think it went too badly. If you were there then please let us know what you thought in the Forums. Thanks too all of you guys who have supported us. Next time we'll kick a LOT more ass! 04/06/2008 - Severed HeadLINE!
